Admission requirements and cut-off points for the UCC BCom Finance programme are categorized based on various educational backgrounds, ensuring a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)
Candidates must secure passes (A-D) in six subjects, including Core English Language, Core Mathematics, and either Integrated Science or Social Studies. Additionally, candidates must obtain passes in any three elective subjects, with Financial Accounting being one of them. The aggregate score should not exceed 24.
West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Prospective students must obtain passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, encompassing Core English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies. Similarly, candidates should have passes in any three elective subjects, including Financial Accounting. The aggregate score should not surpass 36.
General Business Certificate Exams
Eligibility for admission into Level 100 requires candidates to have credit passes (A-D) in six subjects, comprising Core English Language, Mathematics, and three relevant elective subjects.

General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Candidates
Applicants need passes in three subjects, with at least one pass being Grade D or better. Additionally, they must have credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject (for non-science students).
Higher National Diploma (HND) Holders
Candidates with a good HND certificate (at least 2nd Class Lower Division) and a 2-year post-HND qualification working experience may be admitted to Level 300. Those with HND in business-related programs may be admitted to Level 300, while other HND holders with at least Second Class may enter at Level 200. Equivalent diploma qualifications from other institutions may also be considered.
Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Candidates
Holders of a full Diploma Certificate in ABCE must have credit passes in five subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) or SSSCE or WASSCE. ABCE candidates may be considered for admission at Level 200 of a degree program.
Mature Candidates
Applicants aged at least 25 years must pass the Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations in English Language, Mathematics, and an Aptitude Test.
Professional Certificate Holders
Candidates with Part I of recognized Professional Accountancy Bodies may be admitted.
Foreign Qualification
All foreign qualifications will be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for equivalence determination and eligibility for admission.
